Week 15 – Mobile applications for iPhone and Android

November 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We were given the topics we will be researching for coursework one.

The important aspect of this coursework is to look at the technology behind the topic. How is it done? What technology is used? I will be looking to explain my topic using examples. I will start by this week researching mobile applications for the iphone and android. Here are a few sources I have already found and will include in my presentation:

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER IN RESEARCH:

  • What problem is being solved
  • How does it work
  • Who is involved
  • What technical challenges
  • What applications
  • What problem dies this technology set out to solve?
  • What are the origins of this technology? Who are the main players in its development? How is it evolving?
  • What are the specific technical challenges of this technology and how are they handled?
  • How does a typical use of the technology work? What components are there, how are they interrelated?
  • How do users use this technology?  What are the main social issues involved these applications?

Due on 11th December as a wiki post, report and presentation.
